Reporting Illegal & Harmful Content @ HubSpot

This page outlines the dedicated policy and reporting channel for content hosted on HubSpot that promotes, encourages, or facilitates illegal activity, hate speech, violence, or discrimination.

We are committed to enforcing our Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) to ensure a safe and compliant platform for all users, in line with applicable laws and regulations, including the European Union Digital Services Act (DSA).

Our Policy on Illegal & Harmful Content

Our Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) prohibits use of the HubSpot Service with content or in a manner that promotes, encourages, or facilitates:

  1. Illegal Activity, Hate Speech, Violence, or Discrimination. This includes any content that promotes, encourages, or facilitates illegal activity, hate speech, violence, or discrimination based on characteristics such as race, color, religion or creed, national origin or ancestry, sex, age, physical or mental disability, veteran status, genetic information, citizenship, sexual orientation, marital status, gender or identity expression, and parental status, and any/or other characteristics protected by law.
  2. Facilitating Prohibited Organizations. Organizations or individuals who promote, encourage, or facilitate hate speech, violence, or discrimination, either through their own content or through distribution of user-generated content, are prohibited from using the HubSpot Service, regardless of whether the HubSpot Service is used specifically for the prohibited activities.
  3. Content that violates applicable laws and regulations.

Our Review and Enforcement Process

Reports regarding the specific content violations detailed above are handled via a dedicated internal process that prioritizes fairness and policy adherence.

  • Why: This specific process is designed for the review and enforcement actions related to content that promotes, encourages, or facilitates illegal activity, hate speech, violence, or discrimination.
  • How: Reports are assessed against the terms of the AUP, internal policy guidelines, and applicable legal frameworks (such as the DSA).
  • Who: Reports are reviewed by specialized teams to ensure an objective, non-discriminatory, and diligent policy determination.
  • Action: If content is determined to violate the AUP, we will take swift and proportionate action. This may include content removal, content access restriction, or suspension/termination of the account.
